New comic with commentary afterwords:

I'm not as proud of this comic, simply because the punchline needs to be punchier. The whole thing started out by doodling the blob's mother and then wanting to do a "where do babies come from" gag.
Click for gigantic version.
I had a lot of fun trying a more painted look with the three panels, but I ended up shrinking them to the point that it's not noticeable. If I'd planned this out better, they would be the focus and the other panels would become smaller.
If you're wondering why I post these commentaries afterward it's to vocalize my thoughts on the process. I point out the flaws not to degrade my art, but because this is a learning process for me and there is a lot of experimentation involved. Some things work and others don't. As always, I would love any critiques or comments!

Love it. I feel like if you'd had one panel of silence (you know, just the blobs, no text) between his "WHOA!" and "So where do I come from?" the joke might land better. That's just what I was thinking. I still like it a lot.
I agree with Parker, and it's exactly what I thought when I read that you wanted it to be "punchier"
I think a look of total awe and "WHOA!" with grumpy blob looking at him like he is an idiot... silent panel of same expressions
then next panel naive blob with a questioning look that says "so where do i come from?"
