Last Sunday, my brother helped teach me how to rap. I'm not talking about the hit Youtube video, I'm talking about real life. I wrote a bit and then he helped fix it and add on to it in order to make it actually sound good. Which was a lot of work.
I'm attaching the song below, which is mostly me rapping about not being able to rap. Oh and did I mention that he also spit a verse on it? Yup.
But before I forget, go check out his webpage which has lots more of his work.
Quickly exported.
For those of you curious, here are the lyrics for my verse only:
Never been ripped,
Never been buff,
Never been able to spit straight off the cuff.
I write down stuff so I don't forget it,
Naw I don't drool, I just spit it.
Yeah, I'm so so literate,
Eh. Only so so articulate.
Got trouble with flows,
Nowhere to go, but I don't know,
Because I don't have beef with prose.
My word choice is unfortunate,
Uh... what rhymes with unfortunate?
Miss Cleo's crystal ball will tell you what your fortune is.
If you thinkin' that you're hot, well then I'm scorchin' it.
Baby I'm torchin' it.
I'm high off life, higher than my mother flippin' mortgage is.
If it's from DI, I'm sportin' it.
Cut off this verse, keep it proportionate.
